REPUBLIC OF ANGOLA MINISTRY OF TERRITORY ADMINISTRATION GOVERNANCE STRENGTHENING PROJECT TO IMPROVE SERVICE DELIVERY (NJILA) Project Implementation Unit - UIP International Public Competition Country: Angola. Project Name: Strengthening Governance to Improve Service Delivery Project (NJILA). Project ID N. P178040. Contract Description : Acquisition of 32 vehicles to support the National Public Procurement Service. Contract No.: AO-MINFIN-573470-GO-RFB Government of Angola (GoA) signed a financing agreement with the World Bank for the implementation of the Governance Strengthening Project to Improve Service Provision, whose objectives are: (i) increase the amount and reliability of fiscal transfers to selected municipalities; (ii) strengthen financial and land management capacity; (iii) increase identification coverage. The project is multisectoral, involving the following Ministerial Departments: Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, Ministry of Public Works, Urban Planning and Housing, Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Territorial Administration, which is responsible for coordination through a Project Implementation Unit (UIP), and intends to apply part of the funds for payments within the scope of Acquisition of 32 vehicles to support the National Public Procurement Service. For this agreement, the Borrower will use the Direct Payment disbursement method as defined in the World Bank Disbursement Guidelines for Financing Investment Projects.
