Žatec Dam - provision of the weir valve, restoration of the temporary embankment

The subject of the public contract are 2 actions: A) Securing the weir flap in the upper position: The subject of the action is the securing of the weir flap in the upright position with the overflow edge at the level of 202.40 m.a.s.l. (B.p.v.). The width of the gravel culvert and the flap is 10 m and the dam height is 1.62 m. The flap is unilaterally controlled by a lever from the weir pillar using a tube structurally connected to the flap. Securing the flap in the upright position is designed using its suspension on both sides by a pair of hinges attached to the extreme ribs of the flap. The curtains will be hung from the anchor plates mounted on the side pillars of the culvert. Each of the hinges alone should absorb the load from the design hydrostatic pressure of the upper water at the level of 202.93 m above sea level. (i.e. 0.1 m above the crown of the left pillar), which is approx. 200 Kn (20 t). Before the implementation of this action, it is necessary to restore the temporary covering of the gravel culvert from the upper water for the drainage of the construction sump. B) Restoration of the temporary dam: The subject of the action is the restoration of the structure of the temporary dam (PH) of the flap of the gravel sluice of the Žatec weir damaged during increased flow in the river. This is a renewal of technology with minimal modifications to the building structure of the weir, consisting in the modification/repair of the niches for the beams of the temporary dam in the pillars. The construction of the bridge of the temporary embankment will be made new. The existing steel gates will be modified/shortened to a length corresponding to the hedged profile. The new structure of the footbridge will consist of two main beams with a span of 10.0 m and a clip of 2.0 m, which will be connected by diagonals and cross members. The floor of the footbridge made of reeds will be installed on the cross members and the railings on the flood side. The entire structure of the footbridge will be provided with anti-corrosion protection by metallization and paint coating. Barrier elements - the gates will be shortened and will be supported by the existing groove in the lower structure and the edge of the guide beam of the footbridge. The existing niches in the pillars will be repaired or modified in such a way that the support surfaces of the footbridge are renewed both in the vertical and horizontal directions.
