Recruitment of a Consultant Specialist in Micro Small and Medium Enterprises

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTANT SERVICES – INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT) COUNTRY : São Tomé and Príncipe Project Name : Employment Opportunities Project for Young People in São Tomé and Príncipe – POEJ Donation No. : IDA-E7350 Description : RECRUITMENT OF A CONSULTANT SPECIALIST IN MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES Reference N .º 12/C/POEJ/2026 The Government of São Tomé and Príncipe (GoSTP) has received a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) Grant to cover the cost of the São Tomé and Príncipe Youth Employment Opportunities Project (POEJ) and intends to apply part of this subsidy to recruitment consultancy services from a consultant specializing in micro-small and medium-sized companies to support the Project Implementation Unit. The general objectives of this consultancy are: Provide specialized technical assistance to the Ministry responsible for implementing the São Tomé and Príncipe Youth Employment Opportunities Project in the design, operationalization, monitoring and improvement of activities related to professional internships, professional training and youth employment, ensuring their quality, relevance, efficiency and sustainability; Support the coordination, supervision and technical monitoring of interventions, ensuring coordination between training institutions, employers, the private sector and other relevant stakeholders. Contribute to aligning the provision of professional training with the needs of the labor market, support the development and monitoring of internship programs and promote mechanisms that favor the insertion and retention of young people in the labor market; Monitor the results of the subcomponent, identify constraints and opportunities for improvement, support the definition of corrective measures and the production of technical support for decision making. Ensure that activities are implemented in an integrated, efficient manner
