Description & Project Overview
The Civil Engineering Office of the Canton of Bern collects traffic data on the cantonal road network with periodic 14-day measurements on numerous cross-sections (annually or every 2, 4 or 8 years) and, if necessary, with additional project-related surveys. The data is used, among other things, for road, public transport and noise renovation projects, the cantonal traffic model as well as maintenance and renovations.
