Description: a new institute building is to be constructed for the fraunhofer institutes isi and iosb in karlsruhe as part of a grant-funded project in accordance with rzbau, at fraunhoferstraße 1, 76131 karlsruhe.
the new building will serve as a workplace for 430 employees and approximately 150 student assistants. for this purpose, approximately 7,145 m² of net floor area (nf 1-6) is required, consisting of office, conference, seminar, and workshop areas, a data center, and a large kitchen including ancillary rooms and a dining hall with the corresponding infrastructure. a new spatial concept (new work) is to be implemented for the office areas (approx. 5,300 m² nf), which also allows for medium-term growth.
as part of the construction project, the new electrical installations, emergency power supply systems, photovoltaic system, ups, safety lighting, lightning protection system, fire alarm system, and fire service radio system are to be inspected by an expert.
