The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of implementing the “Somalia Food Systems Resilience Project (FSRP)” and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the “ Rehabilitation of Three Irrigation Primary Canals and Related Auxiliary Structures, Jowhar district, Hirshabelle State of Somalia (3 Lots) . ”. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing. 2. The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Hirshabelle State, Federal Government of Somalia now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the “ Rehabilitation of Three Irrigation Primary Canals and Related Auxiliary Structures, Jowhar district, Hirshabelle State-Somalia (3 Lots) ” as below: LOTS DESCRIPTION OF WORK DISTRICT PROVINCE/ STATE INTENDED CONTRACT COMPLETION PERIOD LOT 1 Rehabilitation of Kelli Dheere Irrigation Canal and related Auxiliary Structures Jowhar, Somalia Middle Shabelle, Hirshabelle State 8 Months LOT 2 Rehabilitation of Shantaay Irrigation Canal and related Auxiliary Structures Jowhar Somalia Middle Shabelle, Hirshabelle State 8 Months LOT 3 Rehabilitation of Shiinaha Irrigation Canal, and related Auxiliary Structures Jowhar, Somalia Middle Shabelle, Hirshabelle State 8 Months 3. Bids will be evaluated Lot wise. The contract(s) will be awarded to the Bidder offering the lowest evaluated cost to the Employer for the respective Lot, subject to the selected Bidder meeting the required qualification criteria as the case may be. Bidders can apply for one or more Lots. However, the lowest evaluated responsive bidder may be awarded a maximum of two lots.
