The Central Asian countries have received financing from the Central Asia Water and Energy Program - Phase 4 Multi-Donor Trust Fund (CAWEP) administered by the World Bank as part of the Central Asia Regional Electricity Market Interconnectivity and Trade (REMIT) Project, and intend to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The consulting services (the Services) include the provision of Consultancy Services to Design, Implement, and Maintain Central Asia Pilot Short-Term Electricity Market. The objective of this assignment is to prepare the necessary legal agreements and documents to govern the operation of the Central Asian pilot market, develop and implement a trading platform for running the Central Asian pilot market and a settlement solution, implement the market, and provide system operation as a service to the Regional Management Office for a period of two (2) years, with an option for subsequent yearly extension of service if requested by the Client. The expected commencement date for the assignment is June 1, 2026. The duration of the assignment shall be 18 months for implementation (Phase 1) from the date of contract signature, plus 24 months of services for Central Asia pilot market live operation (Phase 2), with an optional yearly extension of service thereafter.
