Contract Description
Feasibility study / planning for the energetic optimization of the Querfurt sewage treatment plant Feasibility study / planning for the energetic optimization of the Querfurt sewage treatment plant
The wastewater treatment systems in the city of Querfurt currently include the operation of mechanical pre-cleaning at the historic location of the Querfurt sewage treatment plant as well as a 20-year-old wastewater transfer to the Karstdorf sewage treatment plant. The biological cleaning and further sewage sludge treatment take place there. The transfer to the Karsdorf sewage treatment plant is severely damaged and the energy required for transport is disproportionately high. Therefore, a plan should be developed to optimize wastewater treatment. Previous preliminary studies have shown that replacing the transfer and building a biological purification stage is the most energetically advantageous option. As part of a feasibility study in service phase 2, a renovation of the bridge should be considered as an additional option. The aim of the planning is the energetic optimization of the existing wastewater treatment and the subsequent transfer to Karsdorf, taking into account all relevant framework conditions. This requires planning services according to HOAI in the areas of buildings, engineering structures, technical equipment, EMSR and structural planning. If necessary, different expansion stages should also be considered. The various measures and the exact objectives can be found in the tender documents (D1_Service description). On the basis of the EU Municipal Wastewater Directive, the sewage treatment plant to be planned must be designed in such a way that - the proportion of self-generated electricity is at least 70%, - the specific energy consumption of the system is a maximum of 23 kWh/eWa, - the system is able to safely comply with the specified monitoring values in the process. The planning services to be provided (breakdown of the service profiles and service phases) are also summarized in detail in the service description (D1). The following dates are planned for the implementation of the advertised planning services: Start of planning: 09/2026 LPH 2: Reading version of preliminary planning 12/2026 LPH 2: Completion and handover of the complete preliminary planning 01/2027
