Description & Project Overview
The purpose of this contract is to put the upstream gates of track no. 1 of the Ronquières inclined plane back into service. These doors were damaged due to a broken lifting cable. The accident also damaged the doors, shock beams, door guides, lifting devices, a glass roof of the building and potentially some underwater infrastructure. The rehabilitation of the underwater infrastructure requires the drying downstream of the guard gate, including the drying of the translation tray which will be parked in the high position: secured against the upstream tower of the inclined plane. As the doors have been out of service for several years, certain additional maintenance work must also be carried out before returning to service: maintenance of the shock-absorbing devices of the shock beams, replacement of the seals of the translation tray and replacement of the lifting cables of the guard door.
