LIFE ČS - Support of the subject of protection in EVL Radobyl

Implementation of measures within the project "Active protection of European important localities with thermophilic communities and species in the Czech Central Highlands", LIFE16 NAT/CZ/000639, activity C1 (cuts of trees) and C2 (manual mowing). This is a modification of habitat conditions to support the subject of EVL protection Radobyl - an endemic subspecies of the rock locust, p. p. no. 439/1 k. ú. Žalhostice. The following measures will be carried out: A. Manual mowing (activity C2) on two areas with a total area of ​​0.30 ha (the total demarcated area is 0.3089 ha, it is reduced to 0.30 ha due to the retention of solitary trees and the cutting of clumps of sedges). All mowed matter will be raked with iron rakes. Along with the mowed material, the old material will also be dug up to loosen the vegetation. All raked material will be cleared from the property and used in an appropriate manner in accordance with applicable legal regulations. It is an inaccessible, stony, fragmented and very sloping plot of land. Manual mowing will be carried out in accordance with the valid Nature and Landscape Care Standard No. SPPK D02 004:2017 Mowing, which is attached to the procurement procedure. B. Excision of unwanted trees above 1 m in height (activity C1) on an area of ​​0.04 ha (The defined area is 0.0410 ha, due to the retention of two solitary mature trees, the area to be cut is reduced to 0.04 ha). It is an inaccessible, stony, fragmented and very sloping plot of land. Branched and thorny trees are carved. The timber will be cut as low as possible to the ground, so that the land can be farmed in the future without problems. All cut wood material will be cleared from the property and used in an appropriate way. All work will be completed by November 8, 2018.
