Description & Project Overview
The WA Police Force, in partnership with the WA Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) and the WA Department of Health (DoH), is progressing the development of a single, unified Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Public Safety Network (PSN) in Western Australia (WA). The initiative responds to the increasing challenges associated with outdated and fragmented networks, duplicated infrastructure, non-compliant spectrum, uneven coverage and limited interoperability. The WA Police Force is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to engage with industry and obtain information that will support the ongoing refinement and validation of the assumptions, delivery approaches and implementation considerations underpinning the WA PSN Program. The WA Police Force will launch the RFI by hosting a briefing to interested parties and is expected one week after the RFI is released. Further instructions on how to register for the invitation to the Briefing will be sent through early next week via an addenda. To ensure that you are notified when any further Addenda are released, please ensure that your business is correctly registered on Tenders WA and that your details are up to date. At this stage, this will be a Request for Information only. There is no guarantee that a public tender process will proceed as a result of this RFI. The WA Police Force thanks you for your interest in the PSN.
