When the emergency outlet of Riool-Zuid comes into operation, all kinds of things happen to the water of Kleine Dommel. First of all, flooding and, above all, pollution of the area occurs because, in addition to dirty water, feces, toilet paper and other items are dumped into the stream. All that dirt causes poor water quality and therefore a considerable impact on the ecology.
