Description & Project Overview
Opportunity Title: Computer Science Engineering Support Posting Type: Sources Sought Competition Type: Set-Aside - Small Business NAICS Classification: 541511: Custom Computer Programming Services Business Size Standard: $34M Statement of Work: The Offeror shall provide National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia (NTESS) with virtual scientific computing support to sustain the Carlsbad, New Mexico site. The Offeror shall provide at least one Subject Matter Expert (SME) with expertise in computer science methods and strong written communication skills to support an existing computational framework. Support shall include sustainment, modernization, performance optimization, HPC readiness, and transition support for evolving three-dimensional modeling capabilities. Work shall include software development, analysis, refactoring, verification and validation, documentation, performance improvement, platform portability, workflow reproducibility, and migration readiness for Linux-based computing environments, and shall be performed in compliance with Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements. The Offeror shall confirm its ability to meet these requirements in response to this BOW posting. Note: Additional information regarding the SME is provided in the Key Personnel Overview section of this BOW posting. Note: No lower-tier subcontractors shall be utilized in the performance of this work.
