Description & Project Overview
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Dalhousie University (“University”) to prospective Proponents to submit proposals for the Production-class Large Format Hybrid Printer , as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The University is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers for the supply, delivery, installation, training, and support of a hybrid wide-format UV LED printer for its Printing Services Department. The printer will be used to produce high-quality indoor and outdoor graphics on both rigid and roll-fed media for a variety of academic, research, operational, and promotional applications. The University requires a reliable and versatile solution that delivers superior print quality, supports a range of substrates, and provides long-term operational value. Proponents must provide a complete turnkey solution, including all required hardware, software, installation, commissioning, and training. The University will evaluate proposals based on technical capabilities, print quality, sustainability features, service and support offerings, and overall value, including total cost of ownership and operating efficiency. Sustainability considerations, including reduced energy consumption, ink waste, and media waste, are important factors in this procurement.
