NPP Velký vrch u Vršovice - application of herbicide, manual mowing and cutting

Implementation of measures to support valuable thermophilic communities in the part of the NPP Velký vrch u Vršovice and its protective zone, plot no. The following works will be carried out: A. Application of a suitable herbicide on tree saplings (including acacia thorn) on two areas marked as 12a and 12b. The total area defined by the drawings above the orthophoto map is 0.9424 ha. Saplings of woody plants are scattered on the areas, from this introduction the treated area is reduced to 0.7 ha. The application of the herbicide will be carried out in the second half of August in accordance with the Standard SPPK D02 007 Elimination of selected invasive plant species, which is in the annex to the procurement procedure, valid legislation and the instructions of the product manufacturer. B. Manual mowing of grass on 3 areas No. 1a, 1b, 12 with a total area of ​​3.15 ha. As part of mowing, the saplings of trees that have been treated with herbicide will also be removed. Part of the measure is also the removal of all mowed matter within 10 days after mowing and its use in accordance with valid legal regulations. Due to the slope of the land, the basic rate for manual mowing is increased compared to the rate stated in the "Costs of usual measures of the MoE". Mowing will take place in September, min. 2 weeks after the application of the herbicidal preparation for rejuvenating woody plants. Manual mowing will be carried out in accordance with the Standard SPPK D02 004:2017 Mowing, which is attached to the procurement procedure. C. Excision of unwanted trees and their rejuvenation on area No. 4. The total area indicated by the drawing above the orthophoto map is 0.70 ha. From this area, there are trees above 1 m in height and up to 10 cm in diameter on the area of ​​the stump on 0.40 ha, and the rejuvenation of trees up to 1 m in height is on the area of ​​0.30 ha. The measure also includes the removal of all cut material and its use in accordance with applicable legal regulations. The timber will be cut as low as possible to the ground, so that the land can be farmed in the future without problems.
