IP LIFE - cutting of unwanted woody plants on 3 areas in EVL Bořeň

Implementation of measures within the One Nature project (Integrated LIFE project for the Natura 2000 system in the Czech Republic – LIFE17 IPE/CZ/000005 LIFE-IP: N2K Revisited), activity C4 – Management of Natura 2000 system sites. Implementation of measures in EVL Bořeň within the framework of the One Nature project (Integrated LIFE project for the Natura 2000 system in the Czech Republic – LIFE17 IPE/CZ/000005 LIFE-IP: N2K Revisited), activity C4 – Management of sites of the Natura 2000 system. Specifically, it concerns the support of the objects of habitat protection: continental deciduous shrubs (40A0), stands with rocks, Pannonian rock lawns (Stipo-Festucetalia pallentis, 6190) and chasmophytic vegetation of silicate rocky slopes (8220). There will be a cut-out of undesired invasive trees on three areas at p. p. no. 719 in the district of Chouč: Area No. 1: 1. Cut-out of unwanted invasive trees up to 3 m (mainly thorn, arrowroot). Due to the looseness of the vegetation and places without trees, the area defined by the 0.50 ha drawing is reduced by 50%, i.e. to 0.25 ha. 2. Excision of unwanted invasive woody plants above 3 m in height up to 10 cm on the cutting surface of the stump (ash, blackthorn, rose). Due to the large looseness of the vegetation and places without trees, the area defined by the 0.50 ha map is reduced by 90%, i.e. to 0.05 ha. Area No. 2: Excision of unwanted invasive woody plants above 3 m in height up to 10 cm on the cut surface of the stump (ash, blackthorn, rose). Due to the loose growth of trees, the area defined by the drawing of 0.060 ha is reduced by 20%, i.e. to 0.048 ha. Area No. 3: Excision of unwanted invasive woody plants up to 3 m (thorn, arrowroot). Due to the loose growth of trees, the area defined by the map of 0.024 ha is reduced by 60%, i.e. to 0.096 ha. Conditions are difficult for all 3 areas - it is difficult to access, sloping and rocky land with mostly thorny trees. All cut material will be removed and disposed of in accordance with applicable laws. Wood will be cut as low to the ground as possible. The work will be carried out by 20 November 2020.
