Contract Description
The project includes the removal of asbestos, a thorough renovation and insulation of the shell and the redesign of the environment of a building with 37 social housing units (after renovation 36 housing units + a caretaker's house) located at no. 82, rue de l'Elan, in 1170 Watermaal-Bosvoorde. Some one-off stability works on the neighboring social apartment building at Elanstraat 80 are also part of this project. The building at No. 82 is part of a 1970s complex consisting of 4 buildings with a common aesthetic grouped two by two. The building to be renovated has been stripped of its residents and is therefore completely free for the works. The project includes: - The complete removal of asbestos from the screed floors and ceilings of the building in a vacant site - Demolishing the existing terraces and creating new terraces for the living rooms and kitchens - Removal and disposal of existing interior finishes and equipment - Enlarging the small bedrooms of one of the apartments by adding part of the floor slab to bring them into line with RRU surface standards - Meeting fire safety standards, both inside the buildings (compartmentalization) as well as outside, with a new SIAMU road network - Complete insulation of all facades and finishing with facing bricks - A complete update of the technical equipment (electrical, sanitary and ventilation) - Complete renovation of the interior finishes - Redevelopment of the site environment and construction of private gardens on the ground floor - Stability works at Rue de l'Elan 80, in preparation for the installation of the terrace structure as part of the future renovation project of the building at Rue de l'Elan 80.
