Description & Project Overview
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites potential suppliers to a market dialogue ahead of the planned acquisition of SAT for Norway's foreign missions. The purpose of the market dialogue is to investigate what opportunities exist in the market in addition to getting input on what we should focus on in the upcoming acquisition. We especially encourage suppliers to give feedback on what in a future procurement can be perceived as exclusionary, distorting competition and/or driving prices. Norway's foreign stations need secure and stable data lines to the internet. This is partially covered by the fact that they enter into an agreement for an internet line in the country of the foreign station, but they are also dependent on global internet supplies either in the form of SAT, which is dealt with in this market dialogue, or of WAN which is dealt with in a parallel market dialogue. The current agreement within SAT services expires in 2028. There is therefore a need to initiate a new procurement to ensure that a new agreement is in place, and new lines are implemented, before the current agreement expires.
