Description & Project Overview
The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC or the University) invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors for the delivery of the Moreton Bay Stage 3 (MBS3) project at the UniSC Moreton Bay Campus. MBS3 comprises the construction of a new six-storey Building B1 and adaptive reuse of Building A1 Level 1, delivering additional teaching, learning, research, workplace and community-facing facilities required to support the continued growth of the Moreton Bay Campus. Building B1 is anticipated to be approximately 11,500m² Gross Floor Area (GFA) and will incorporate a mix of contemporary learning and teaching spaces, learning commons, staff workspaces, research and industry collaboration facilities, simulation and visualisation environments, student-focused facilities, food and beverage offerings and community-facing clinical and engagement spaces. Building A1 Level 1 will be refurbished and repurposed to provide specialist teaching, laboratory, simulation, research and support spaces integrated with the broader campus environment. The project is being designed as a contemporary, high-quality higher education facility that reflects the University's strategic objectives for learning, research, industry engagement and sustainability. The design incorporates a hybrid mass timber and concrete structural solution, requiring respondents to demonstrate relevant capability and experience in the delivery of mass timber projects and associated procurement, construction and supply chain management activities.
