Contract Description
Acquisition of services, in batches: Lot 1: Ticketing, surveillance and technical support services for exhibitions at the National Museum of Natural History and Science and ULisboa Botanical Gardens; and Lot 2: Assistance and support services for academic and cultural events at the University of Lisbon Lot 2 – Assistance and support services for academic and cultural events at the University of Lisbon
The contracting of Lot 2, which aims to provide assistance and support services for academic and cultural events at the University of Lisbon, comprises: - Front of room services for events; - Ticketing services; - Technical and operational support services for exhibitions and events. These services aim to ensure the reception, guidance and monitoring of the public and guests, as well as the technical and logistical support necessary to carry out the cultural and institutional activities of the University of Lisbon. However, the Cultural Programming Area (APC) of the University of Lisbon, in fulfilling its mission of promoting and consolidating academic and cultural relations with national and international entities, needs to guarantee the provision of qualified reception, guidance and operational support services in the various events it organizes. Outsourcing these services has proven to be an effective solution, allowing APC to focus on its strategic functions, whilst ensuring high reception standards and flexibility in organizing events with different scales and demands. This external management option has also provided greater optimization in the allocation of financial resources, ensuring the adaptability and efficiency necessary to carry out the Areas activities. Considering the relevance of these services for the maintenance and development of institutional relations at the University of Lisbon, it is necessary, in accordance with article 36 of the Public Contracts Code, to initiate a public procurement procedure that guarantees, in a timely and diligent manner, the continuity and quality of the services provided. In this way, it will be possible to ensure that the University continues to effectively fulfill its institutional mission without interruptions or compromises in the quality of services provided to its guests and partners.
