Fencing Upgrade & Associated Works

The Cocos (Keeling) Islands (CKI) are located approximately 2,750 kilometres northwest of Perth, Western Australia, in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The islands experience a tropical cyclone season primarily from November to March. Jones Lang LaSalle (WA) Pty Ltd (JLL) has been contracted to provide property management services on behalf of the Department of Housing and Works (DHW) for the Light Industrial Area (LIA) on West Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands. As part of our delivery service, JLL is responsible for overseeing projects to ensure efficient and safe facility operations The Light Industrial Area (LIA) on Cocos (Keeling) Islands is a multi-tenant precinct that houses essential island service providers. Maintaining the security and operational integrity of this precinct is important. The existing perimeter fencing infrastructure has deteriorated to the point where it no longer provides effective for its use and has met the end of its service life. The asset exhibits widespread corrosion, compromised structural integrity, and numerous breaches along the boundary line. This level of failure cannot be rectified through maintenance and presents direct risks to safety. This project seeks to replace the end-of-life perimeter fencing with new, fit-for-purpose infrastructure through a Design and Construct delivery model. The laydown area for the project will be at the LIA site for operational efficiency. We are seeking a skilled, suitably qualified, and experienced contractor capable of undertaking the required Design and Construct fencing upgrade works in a remote island location. The successful contractor will be responsible for delivering the project outlined in Schedule 2 - Statement of Requirements & Specification.
