The u.s. department of homeland security (dhs), federal protective service (fps), region 11 has a requirement for veterinary services and boarding support for fps k-9’s in the national capital region. the contractor shall provide routine preventive veterinary care, routine incidental outpatient veterinary care, 24-hour emergency veterinary care, diagnostic testing, surgical capability, medications, grooming, medical boarding, secure boarding, medical record reporting.
services shall be provided at the contractor’s veterinary clinic or hospital located within a twenty-five (25) mile radius of 1201 m street se, washington, dc 20003.
a single-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (idiq) contract with fixed-price provisions is anticipated. the anticipated period of performance will consist of five, 12 month ordering periods.
the north american industry classification system (naics) code is 541940, veterinary services, with a size standard of $10 million.
the request for quotations (rfq) shall require the submission of a technical quotation as well as a price quotation. it is anticipated that the solicitation will be released to the system for award management (sam) on or about 9/16/2026. it is the contractors responsibility to monitor the website for the issuance of the rfq as well as any updates to the solicitation. all contractors must be registered (http://www.sam.gov) in the system for award management (sam) prior to the submission of their quotations.
