The local community of Altendiez intends to develop a new development area with a total of 90 building plots on the western edge of the town, exit towards Hirschberg on the B 417, in 2 construction phases. As part of the development of the new development area, a total of three rain retention basins with a total retention volume of approx. 1,360 m³ are planned for rainwater, which is then fed into a receiving water (Langenbach) via feeder canals.
