Description & Project Overview
The client publishes the competition in accordance with European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) No. 1370/2007 on public passenger transport by rail and by road and on the repeal of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 1191/69 and No. 1107/70 (hereafter referred to as the Public Transport Regulation) art 7.2. The competition is conducted in accordance with the public transport regulation art. 5.3, as well as general guidelines issued by the Ministry of Transport and Communications which can be read on the following website: https://www.regjeringen.no/no/aktuelt/jernbanedirektoratet-far-de-overordnede-rammene-for-fremtidige-trafikkavtaler-pa-jernbanen/id3172999/ The client will establish a qualification scheme for contracts for public passenger transport by rail. The qualification scheme will be announced separately in early 2027. Only suppliers who have been included in the scheme will receive the basis for the competition and be invited to submit offers. The procurement concerns a traffic agreement for publicly purchased passenger transport by rail to Trafikkpakke Sør. The agreement includes passenger traffic services on lines L5, R50 and F5.
