As part of the ABS Hanau-Gelnhausen requirements plan project, routes 3600/3677 between Hanau and Gelnhausen will be expanded to four tracks. The 4-track expansion must be carried out in accordance with Guideline 820. The outer tracks have a maximum speed of 160 km/h, the inner tracks are intended for a speed of 230 km/h. As part of this award, construction monitoring services for individual preliminary measures are to be awarded for the route area between km 24.0 - 39.0. The section under consideration is part of the ABS 5 Fulda - Frankfurt (M) and is equipped with three continuous, electrified tracks between Niedermittlau and Wolfgang. West of the Wolfgang traffic station, the three main tracks flow into two main tracks towards Hanau. The planned measures are located between the southeast of the city of Hanau and the Niedermittlau district of the municipality of Hasselroth and include: ESTW-A Wolfgang: Construction of a new signal box that replaces the existing Rauschwald and Wolfgang signal boxes. Elimination of the Heidäcker Nord level crossing: The existing replacement measure for level 90 (Heidäckerweg level crossing) in the planning area is to be implemented as part of the preliminary measures. Using the level crossing (BÜ Heidäckerweg), the route 3600 Frankfurt (Main) Hbf - Göttingen is crossed at km 24.118 as well as tracks 369 and 373. The currently existing level crossing is to be dismantled and replaced with a railway overpass. The BÜ replacement measure was approved in 2007, but requires a change due to current planning. Construction site clearance of the old Langenselbold signal box: Dismantling of the telecommunications systems from the old Langenselbold signal box. While the above-mentioned measures are being carried out, some simultaneous route and station renovations will take place in plan approval sections 5.16 and 5.17 (Hailer-Meerholz to Gelnhausen area). Appropriate planning, coordination and registration must be carried out by the contractor for any mutual construction activities and construction site situations. This includes all the necessary coordination work, especially taking into account the spatially and temporally affected measures on routes 3600 and 3677.
