Odense Municipality wishes to enter into a framework agreement regarding municipal funerals and burials in connection with the funeral/burial of citizens in Odense Municipality where there are no relatives/survivors or others who wish or are able to assume the obligation, and which must therefore be handled by Odense Municipality. The supplier must provide all the administrative and practical services necessary and customary for the execution of a funeral, and which are normally performed by undertakers. The administrative services include, inter alia, requisitioning of personal certificates concerning the deceased, notification to the burial authority, management of contact and conclusion of agreements regarding the funeral/burial proceedings as well as with the funeral service, crematorium and cemetery, including payment and administration of disbursements for requisitioned services from these. There shall be no advertising in the media. The practical services include, inter alia, dressing the deceased in burial clothes, placing the deceased in the coffin, closing the coffin if this is deemed necessary due to odour generation and/or body fluids.
