The space development agency (sda) intends to issue a modification to the sole source, firm-fixed-price (ffp) contract number fa240125c0001 awarded to space x (cage 9adw9). this modification will enable spacex to continue its support of a satellite processing and integration facility to accommodate up to 21 satellites and associated dispenser hardware for the sda. this facility will support post-transport functional testing as required, satellite mechanical and electrical mates to the dispenser hardware, and integrated payload stack encapsulation.
the planned firm-fixed price contract modification is anticipated to be awarded in december 2026. the modification will extend the period of performance for 1 year. the total estimated value of the extension is $15,000,000.
this award of this modification will be made under the authority of far 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 10 u.s.c. 3204 (a)(1).
