Order: Brno, VMO Kohoutova, Sládkova – reconstruction of the water supply system – part I

The subject of the construction works is the reconstruction of the existing water supply lines in Sládkova Street and part of Merhautova Street. In Sládkova Street, there is a DN 1000 backbone water supply line of the 3rd pressure zone from VDJ Palackého vrch, which in the section in question is made of ductile iron and fiberglass from the years 1980 - 1997. In Merhautova Street, from the railway bridge to the fitting shaft on Sládkova Street, DN 500 and 600 water supply lines from 1912 and 1997. The water line in Merhautova Street from 1997 is made of fiberglass. These are backbone water mains from VDJ Holé hory, pressure zone 1 and 2. These backbone water mains are in an unsatisfactory construction and technical condition, mainly due to their age or unsuitable material that was used in their construction. The water lines will be reconstructed in the DN 200 profile with a length of 2.5 m, in the DN 500 profile with a length of 148 m, in the DN 600 profile with a length of 267 m, in the DN 800 profile with a length of 24 m and DN 1000 with a length of 246 m. ​​In addition, the reconstruction of 3 pieces of fitting shafts and 1 piece of air reservoir shaft will be carried out. For the duration of the works on the water pipes, it will be necessary to build temporary water lines. These will be made of steel with a DN 200 profile and a length of 20 m, a DN 400 profile with a length of 335 m and a DN 600 with a length of 80 m. The construction will also include the repositioning of one sewer connection, the repositioning of three DPMB traction masts, the repositioning of the VO line and the restoration of communication areas after the completion of work on the water pipes. With regard to the water management constructions implemented in the territory of the city of Brno, implementation is necessary in the period from February 2026 to April 2027, with the fact that the work is divided into the stage of reconstruction of engineering networks and the stage of necessary repair of communication, which will only be started on the basis of a written instruction from the client.
