The Client, the Zweckverband Kehrichtverwertung Zürcher Oberland (KEZO), was founded in 1961 and comprises 36 municipalities in the Zürcher Oberland and on Lake Zurich. It operates a waste-to-energy plant (KVA) in Hinwil for the thermal treatment of municipal waste from around 365,000 households as well as industry and commerce. The construction works put out to tender here concern the replacement new build of the Wildbach Bridge, which leads from Zurichstrasse (national road) into Wildbachstrasse (private road) and provides access to plots 8333, 7960, 7666, 7665, 7303 and 8086. The bridge is located in the Wildbach section of cadastral number 2679. The existing bridge no longer meets the requirements for use (load-bearing structure, lane width). It is to be dismantled and the new bridge built in the same location. The bridge provides the only connection from Zurichstrasse to the Wildbachstrasse industrial estate with around 1,000 jobs. Vehicular access and pedestrian access must be guaranteed throughout the entire construction period. The dismantling and new construction works must be carried out in stages with corresponding traffic diversions. A temporary bridge must be built for pedestrians on the Wetzikon side. In order not to impair traffic on Zurichstrasse, it is planned that the installation of the bored piles and the lifting in of the prefabricated bridge elements will each take place at night.
