The object of the procurement is the design services for the new construction project of the Niuvanniemi forensic psychiatric hospital. The object is located at Niuvankuja 65, Kuopio. The initial scope of the project is approximately 11,000 brm2 and it comprises six patient wards including 102 single rooms and a treatment center. The procurement is divided into four entities according to design areas, for each of which a separate design contract is made: main and architectural design, structural and substructure design, HVAC design and electrical design. The design assignment has been phased. Phase I includes planning tasks that extend up to the building permit phase, phase II tasks related to implementation planning and construction preparation after the investment decision, and phase III tasks related to construction and the warranty period. Progressing from one stage to another requires a separate decision by the customer.
