Description & Project Overview

The city of Nordhausen is thoroughly expanding Wallrothstrasse. The measure will be carried out in several construction phases. In the first construction phase (station 0-085 to 0+340), the expansion including a new rainwater canal has already been completed. With this procedure, the construction work for the 2nd construction phase from construction km 0+340 to construction km 0+508 will be put out to tender (listed as LOT-0001 in point 5 of this announcement). In this section the road runs on a pronounced slope. The embankment on the valley side is not stable; Stability is achieved via three engineering structures, which form the focus of the measure: - an intersected bored pile wall from station 0+400 to 0+508, length approx. 108 m, developed wall area approx. 1,350 m², large bored piles according to DIN EN 1536 with D = 88 cm, anchored back with 29 micropiles according to DIN EN 14199; on it head beam and cap made of reinforced concrete, - an angle retaining wall made of prefabricated reinforced concrete parts from station 0+420 to 0+508, length approx. 90 m, - Slope stabilization in reinforced earth with geogrids from station 0+340 to 0+400. In addition, there is the thorough road expansion including surface drainage, a shared footpath and cycle path that runs in sections over the cap of the bored pile wall, a crossing aid with ground indicators, street lighting and the adaptation of the mountain-side forest path. Special boundary conditions for execution: - The construction area is suspected of having explosive weapons; Probing is required before earthworks and drilling work. - Under the existing roadway there is a layer contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Guideline C 316 and TRGS 551 apply to their expansion. - A medium-voltage line run by the local network operator runs in the construction site and must be secured during the construction period. - Tree felling and clearing work is subject to the obligation in accordance with Section 39 Paragraph 5 BNatSchG and is only permitted outside the period from March 1st to September 30th. - The working level for the bored pile work is the existing roadway with a paved width of around 5.65 m. The construction project will be carried out in three separate phases: - Section 1: Tree felling and woody work, January 18, 2027 to February 28, 2027. - Section 2.1: Main construction project, 03/2027 to 12/2027. - Section 2.2: Completion of the main construction project, 04/2028 to 06/2028. Work is suspended between Section 1 and Section 2.1. The winter break between Section 2.1 and Section 2.2 is from December 18, 2027. There are no plans to divide the service advertised here into further lots.
