Contract Description
Acquisition of underwater robots (ROV system) Acquisition of underwater robots (ROV system)
The Ministry of Defences Material and Procurement Agency (hereafter FMI) intends to enter into a contract with Saab Seaeye Ltd (hereafter SAAB) for the acquisition of underwater robots (collectively an ROV system) and related integration services. The contract also gives FMI the opportunity to continuously purchase maintenance services and spare parts for up to 15 years (corresponding to the ROV systems expected lifetime) after signing the contract. The acquisition is urgent and is part of the Danish rearmament as a result of the current security policy situation, as the ROV system is to be integrated on the Norwegian Defense Forces new ship (Norwind Helm), which is to constitute a new, dedicated capacity for monitoring underwater infrastructure in and around Danish waters. FMI thus has an operationally compelling and urgent need to enter into the contract. The contract is awarded directly without a tender to SAAB in accordance with the tender legal authority in the crisis provision in FSDs article 28, subsection 1, letter c, in view of the urgent nature of the procurement, cf. the section Reasons for direct allocation.
