Request for information (rfi) – tmrictrfi26178 wildlife detection technology.
tmr is seeking information on available and emerging solutions that support a range of capabilities associated with wildlife management in road environments. the capabilities are divided into four core pillars: detection, identification, monitoring and alerting. at a high level, tmr is interested in identifying technologies that can fully or partially support the four pillars:
1. the automated detection of wildlife near the state road network.
2. automated wildlife classification and identification. (accurate identification of wildlife species)
3. automated monitoring of wildlife road-crossing activity and/or in proximity to road infrastructure.
4. the automated generation of real-time alerts/notifications/warnings when wildlife is detected on or near road environments/corridors, together with reporting and analytics to support driver awareness.
