Description & Project Overview
The Foixà civic center was built in the 1930s. It has a rectangular plan with a structure of load-bearing walls and a tile roof on metal trusses. Under the trusses is a false plasterboard ceiling. On the east side is the stage with the dressing rooms and other outbuildings below, on a semi-basement floor. On the west side, it is adjacent to the town hall offices. The following aspects have been detected to be adapted according to the regulations: - The meeting room does not have sufficient means of evacuation for the occupancy calculated according to DB-SI. - The roof structure does not have documentation proving its resistance to fire. There are no fire detection systems. - There are no accessible toilets and the total number is less than necessary. - Lack of ventilation systems. - Lack of emergency lighting. - The electrical installation has insufficient power for current needs and the situation will worsen with the air conditioning installation.
