Description & Project Overview
This Request for Information seeks market information on the feasibility, design, delivery and indicative cost of the proposed Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Audit Program. Information received will inform the scope and design of any subsequent procurement process, including decisions on audit methodology, material classification, sampling, scheduling, data requirements, delivery arrangements, indicative costs and implementation timeframes. A large portion of the MSW reported to landfill is mixed material of unknown composition. This is not due to poor reporting, rather the waste is genuinely mixed at the source predominantly in kerbside bins. The MSW Audit Program has been established by NRE Tas to address this data gap and understand the material composition of this waste.
