Germany – Railway bridge construction work – S 13 Troisdorf-Bonn-Oberkassel - Los 15: SÜ A 560

In order to improve the transport infrastructure in the Bonn/Rhein-Sieg-Kreis region, the S-Bahn line S13 is to be continued from Cologne/Bonn Airport via Troisdorf and Bonn-Beuel to Bonn-Oberkassel. Deutsche Bahn AG is planning to extend the S-Bahn line S 13 from Troisdorf to Bonn-Oberkassel. The planned single or double-track line expansion will take place parallel to the DB line No. 2324 Mühlheim (Ruhr) - Niederlahnstein on the right bank of the Rhine. The current motorway bridge of the A 560 over the DB route 2324 will be renewed and its span and width will be increased so that instead of two tracks, three tracks can now run under the bridge. The construction process envisages the construction of the new bridge in two main construction phases. In the first construction phase, one lane of motorway traffic must be relocated to an auxiliary bridge; three lanes are led to the northern part of the bridge. In the second main construction phase, traffic will be redirected to the new southern superstructure, which can accommodate four lanes.
