The care service for homeless people is the backbone of attention to this problem in the city of Granollers. The service is organized in different phases of intervention and pivots around a building where this type of intervention will be carried out in a specialized manner. The model chosen to develop the educational action with the homeless in Granollers is a classic model known as the scale model where people change resources as they reach different habits and dynamics, in order to share housing or even to live alone in the future. People can make a first entry into an overnight facility without many filters and with low demands, to subsequently take a step to a moderately demanding short-stay temporary resource with a professional presence to end, in a later phase, with access to a longer-stay resource as a step prior to full autonomy and/or ordinary accommodation resources.
