Description & Project Overview
The BfJ intends to conclude a framework agreement with a translation agency for a period of four years. The subject of the framework agreement is to be the translation of primarily legal texts and occasionally texts from other specialist areas that arise within the scope of the responsibilities and activities of the Federal Office of Justice (BfJ), from all languages of the world into German and from German into all languages of the world. There is a significant need for translation within the scope of the BfJ's responsibilities and activities. This is characterized by a mass business with a high number of small and small orders that occur in numerous languages. In order to be able to cover the wide range of language services required, the BfJ has its own language service. He sometimes produces translations himself and sometimes outsources translation orders to external language service providers. Experience shows that the languages that are often required are generally assigned to freelance translators. To cover the remaining translation needs, which are often difficult to predict, the language service also works with a translation agency that serves all languages from a single source. Further information about the service can be found in the attached service (LB).
