Description & Project Overview
Kappelshamn in northeastern Gotland is being renovated into a new defense port. The project is a collaborative project between the Fortifications Agency and the Maritime Administration, which work on behalf of the Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Transport Agency. The planned works relate to the expansion and reconstruction of port infrastructure with harbor level, quays, pier and breakwater. In connection with this, dredging measures in the harbor area, turning zone and fairway are also required to be carried out as well as adaptation of fairway markings.
