Analysis of the economic effects of the energy transition in the energy industry

The aim of the project is to examine how the energy transition has affected investments and jobs in the energy industry. To do this, existing data from statistics, companies and scientific studies are evaluated. On this basis, investments in the energy transition and employment in the energy industry should be presented over a longer period of time. A particular focus is on renewable energies, as there is currently little official data on employment. In addition, it can be examined what costs the energy supply incurs for consumers. The areas of electricity, heat and transport are considered and the various costs are summarized. The contractor supports the BMWE in data evaluation and in developing suitable key figures. The aim is to present the economic impact of the energy transition to date in an understandable way using data.
