Contract Description
Allocation of initial afforestation areas for forest compensation for an intervention in Freisen Schwarzerden Allocation of initial afforestation areas for forest compensation for an intervention in Freisen Schwarzerden
For its own projects in the municipality of Freisen that intervene in existing forest stands, gwSaar requires forest compensation areas to compensate for the intervention. In accordance with the LWaldG, compensation can only take place in the form of initial reforestation within Saarland. Forest improvement measures or measures in other federal states or outside Germany are not permitted according to LWaldG Saarland. The regulations of the LWaldG Saarland must be observed when purchasing. The compensation does not have to take place in the municipality of the intervention. However, compensation in the spatial environment is an advantage. The gwSaar has a need for compensation areas of around 16,669 m² in 2026, until December 31, 2026. The initial afforestation requires a separate initial afforestation permit from the state forestry authority. The estimated compensation areas must therefore be approved by December 31, 2026. There should be no acquisition of land, but rather the acquisition of real rights to secure the compensatory measures on the property. The awarding of the order is subject to the granting of approval for the intervention.
