Description & Project Overview
ACQUISITION OF UTILITY MOTOR VEHICLE, DOUBLE CAB PICKUP TYPE The purpose of this contract is to meet the operational needs of the Lifeguard Service of the Municipality of Marataízes, linked to the Municipal Secretariat of Social Defense and Property Security, providing better conditions for the movement of teams, transport of rescue equipment and support for preventive, inspection and rescue actions carried out along the extensive coastal strip of the municipality. Marataízes has an intense flow of residents and tourists throughout the year, with a significant increase in demand during the summer period, holidays and events, requiring permanent action from Lifeguard teams at various posts distributed along the coast. Carrying out these activities requires a vehicle with high load capacity, resistance and ability to travel on paved roads, access roads to beaches, sandy terrain and other difficult to navigate areas. The double cabin pickup vehicle is the most appropriate solution to meet the needs of the service, as it allows the simultaneous transport of the operational team and equipment essential to water rescue activities, such as rescue boards, buoys, fins, first aid kits, cones, flares, area isolation materials, among other equipment used daily in operations. In addition to routine use in preventive activities, the vehicle will be used to respond to drowning incidents, searches, rescues, support for Civil Defense actions, joint operations with the Municipal Civil Guard and other security bodies, as well as to travel to areas that are difficult to access during emergency situations, contributing to reducing response time and increasing operational efficiency. The acquisition of a new vehicle will also provide greater reliability to the municipal fleet, reducing correct maintenance costs.
