Description & Project Overview
Service phases 1 to 3 (level 1) and service phases 5 to 8 (optional level 2) as well as special and additional services. As part of the overall project “Extension of the U5 light rail line between the Preungesheim station and the Frankfurter Berg S-Bahn station”, the urban drainage systems in the planning area must also be redesigned or replanned. The new light rail route runs along Homburger Landstrasse in Frankfurt am Main between the above-mentioned stations, with a length of approx. 1.5 km. In the project area there are public rain, waste and mixed water sewers from the Frankfurt am Main city drainage system made of stoneware and concrete along the entire length. The pipe diameters vary from DN 300 to DN 700. The channels are used to drain dirty and surface water from the connected properties and surfaces. These must be re-planned or re-planned as part of the planning. In the spirit of climate protection, the topics of rainwater management and heavy rain prevention must be taken into account in the planning. The overall project is a joint project between the city of Frankfurt am Main and the Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main mBH.
