The northern part of Runway 18 West is qualified for drainage. For this purpose, drainage channels must be constructed on both sides of runway 18 West to drain away the rainwater that accumulates (primary drainage), including necessary work on cable protection pipe routes and train shafts, a secondary drainage system to drain away the collected rainwater, a storage structure to retain the collected and drained rainwater, a lifting system and a north-west cable route under runway 18 West. All measures must be carried out during ongoing flight operations, some of which involve night work. This award package includes the production of the lifting system, the storage basin with slide shaft and the associated mechanical and electrical equipment. The project includes the construction of a lifting system to pump rainwater from the northern area of runway 18 West to the southern area as well as the construction of a storage basin with a slide shaft.
