The aim of the competition is the selection of the best architectural-urban planning solution for the zone of the Stadion Maksimir football complex and the Svetice Sports and Recreation Centre and the Borongaj Intermodal Terminal, which most successfully meets the needs of the Contracting Authority in accordance with the professional evaluation criteria. The competition is intended for both realisation and ideas. The intention for the implementation of the realisation competition zone is the conclusion of a contract for the preparation of a project and/or plan. The realisation competition zone relates to the Stadion Maksimir football complex, which includes the stadium building, auxiliary pitches with accompanying buildings, and the associated infrastructure and landscaping of outdoor areas. The intention for the implementation of the ideas competition zone is the collection of competition solutions in order to examine the possibilities of methods of construction or spatial arrangement without concluding a contract for the preparation of a project and/or plan or establishing any other type of right to exploit the architectural work given by the competition solution. The ideas part of the competition covers the zone of the Svetice Sports and Recreation Centre, which includes the athletics and recreation complex and the spatial-programme complex of indoor sports, and the zone of the Borongaj Intermodal Terminal.
