Description & Project Overview

Rapid Start Program This RFP is intended to support clinical organizations at varying stages of Rapid Start implementation, including those seeking to establish new Rapid Start services and those with existing practices seeking to strengthen, enhance, or expand their capacity. Applicants are not expected to develop entirely new programs or redesign systems that are already functioning effectively. Rather, funding should support identified opportunities for improvement, address gaps and barriers, and strengthen the delivery of timely, equitable, and sustainable Rapid Start services. Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) Infectious Disease Bureau (IDB) HIV and STI Services Division seeks to improve the timeliness of initiation of antiretroviral therapy (ART) for newly diagnosed and newly engaged people with HIV (PWH) to help them achieve rapid, sustained viral suppression and long-term health outcomes (Rapid Start).
