unmanned threat emitter (umte) x band transmitter
the government is conducting market research to identify potential industry sources capable of providing solutions to consolidate and replace obsolete, single-function transmitter systems. currently, the government relies on multiple ground-based threat emitter platforms (designated tk-1, tk-2 and tk-4) which utilize legacy transmitters.
