[1] The subject of the Contract is the execution of the following elements: preparation of execution designs and execution of construction works for: - modernisation and construction of line No. 38 as a double-track line on the section from existing km 3+591 to existing km 98+800; - reconstruction of lines 515, 516 with the retention of single-track sections: line No. 515 on the section from existing km 1+278 to existing km 1+915, line No. 516 on the section from existing km 1+383 to existing km 1+917. BASIC SCOPE: Modernisation and construction of line No. 38 as a double-track line on the section: - from existing km 3+591 to existing km 25+204, hereinafter referred to as the Białystok – Knyszyn section, - modernisation and construction of line No. 38 as a double-track line on the section from existing km 61+061 to existing km 98+800, hereinafter referred to as the Osowiec–Ełk section, - reconstruction of lines 515, 516 with the retention of single-track sections: line No. 515 on the section from existing km 1+278 to existing km 1+915, line No. 516 on the section from existing km 1+383 to existing km 1+917, together with accompanying infrastructure and road systems. The basic scope covers all trades with the exception of elements covered by Option Right No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and the Interface Option. OPTION NO. 1: Modernisation and construction of line No. 38 as a double-track line on the section from existing km 25+204 to existing km 61+061, hereinafter referred to as the Knyszyn–Osowiec section, in all trades, with accompanying infrastructure and road systems. OPTION NO. 2: Preparation of Construction Documentation, As-Built Documentation and obtaining necessary agreements and administrative decisions as well as construction of a railway viaduct with a road system and necessary infrastructure in the locality of Grajewo. OPTION NO. 3: Preparation of Construction Documentation, As-Built Documentation and obtaining necessary agreements and administrative decisions as well as construction of a passage under the tracks with necessary infrastructure along Wiedeńska Street in the locality of Białystok. OPTION NO. 4: Preparation of Construction Documentation, As-Built Documentation and obtaining necessary agreements and administrative decisions as well as construction of a grade-separated crossing for rail traffic with a pedestrian and cycle path together with necessary infrastructure, along Wrocławska Street in the locality of Białystok. OPTION NO. 5: Preparation of Construction Documentation, As-Built Documentation and obtaining necessary agreements and administrative decisions as well as construction of a passage under the tracks with necessary infrastructure at Osowiec station. Interface Option: covers the execution of services specified in Chapter 4.14 of VOLUME III - PFU Anticipated changes in the scope of interfaces. The entire subject of the Contract covers the execution of the following elements: 1) Design Documentation: a) in the scope of execution designs, necessary for the proper execution of all construction works and obtaining all required opinions, agreements, permits, conditions, decisions and permits necessary for the implementation of the subject of the contract in accordance with the scope of the contract based on documentation prepared by the Contractor and approved by the Ordering Party, b) preparation of as-built documentation, including geodetic as-built documentation, c) preparation of Valuation Reports, if necessary. 2) all construction works in accordance with the scope of the contract based on the Design Documentation prepared by the Contractor and approved by the Ordering Party, referred to in sub-point 1), and all preparatory works necessary for the execution of the scope of the Contract and all actions required by Law, including, among others, works in the scope of: a) track superstructure and substructure, b) railway traffic control devices (SRK), c) telecommunication devices and systems, d) overhead contact line system with power supply, e) electrical power engineering devices and systems up to 1 kV, f) engineering structures, g) platforms and cubature objects, h) crossings and passages, i) geology, geotechnics, j) sanitary devices, k) clearing and planting of greenery. 3) works consisting in the construction of facilities serving environmental protection and fulfilment of implementation conditionsundertakings indicated in the Decision on Environmental Conditions. 4) conducting the process of conformity assessment of structural subsystems within the scope covered by the contract at each stage (design, construction, and final subsystem tests) and submitting the appropriate EC Declarations of Verification and EC Certificates of Verification for the subsystems.
