Description & Project Overview
Luonnonvarakeskus maintains the mother fisheries of dozens of valuable fish stocks and produces their roes and fry for the needs of planting operations. In addition, on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Luke procures high-value fish hatchlings from private fish farms through contract breeding. Luke's fish farms produce and sell the starting material, roe, to contract farms. Contract farming produces salmon, lake salmon, sea trout and char fry. With this procurement announcement, Luonnonvarakeskus (Luke) tenders and procures the framework arrangement for fish farming services for valuable fish stocks for the years 2027–2031. The rearing of the chicks will start from the ewes in 2027–2030. The content of the service is described in more detail in the request for tenders and in Appendix 1 Service description.
