Contract for works to improve safety and accessibility in the south-west area of ​​the urban core of Agramunt.

The Agramunt City Council considers it necessary to carry out safety and accessibility improvement works in the south-west area of ​​the urban core of Agramunt, specifically on Avinguda Catalunya, in the area between Carrer Manuel de Pedrolo and Carrer Fondandana, on the west side of the avenue. The purpose of the action is to improve the safety conditions of the public road, facilitate the mobility of pedestrians and promote the universal accessibility of urban spaces, by adapting the scope of intervention in accordance with the determinations of the technical project. The intervention responds to the need to guarantee adequate conditions of circulation and accessibility for all people, especially those with reduced mobility, and to improve the functionality and safety of public space. In accordance with article 28 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on public sector contracts (LCSP), the contract is necessary, suitable and proportionate to satisfy this need. The action falls within the municipal competences in matters of road infrastructure, conservation of public spaces and urban mobility. Likewise, given the nature and scope of the works, which require material means, machinery and specialized personnel, it is considered necessary to resort to external contracting to guarantee the correct execution of the works, subject to the technical prescriptions of the project.
